A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

You have all the genius to build a swing in your backyard for God.
That sounds like a hell of a lot more fun.
Let’s start laughing, drawing blueprints, gathering our talented friends.
I will help you with my divine lyre and drum.
Hafiz will sing a thousand words
You can take into your hands,
Like golden saws, silver hammers,
Polished teakwood, strong silk rope.
You carry all the ingredients to turn our existence into joy,
Mix them, mix them!
Hafiz (1350-1390), "To Build A Swing"

another solution/alternative
for internet is if you have
a smartphone
have your carrier turn on
the personal hotspot capability
of your phone
and plug the phone into
your computer with usb cable
the phone acts as a
cellular modem

1) Roof install permission. PITA
2) Is a hard wired hookup from antenna to user - even more difficult to get permission in apartment bldg.
3) The internet connection is via the Google street spy kiosks (NYNet) if no NYCMesh antenna is nearby (Mark missed this, is buried deep in NYCMesh website)
4) Yes, they look like a "cooperative", have flex pricing, but the reality is that almost all the install is cost shifted. (Uber business model).
5) I hate the cable cos deeply. The only viable solution is gov't supplied hook up for all... As in Europe, Asia ... ie civilized nations ....

We are under some stress, trying to pack for a trip where we want to minimize exposure and shopping so bringing a lot of supplies along, which we're not really set up for. Cherries in the dry bag!

Def. bringing our bleach solution and spray bottle and sanitizing stations.
Thanks, Listener Gregory, that's def. the impression I have! We just figured we'd minimize it. Hoping to maybe even get takeout in Brattleboro our last night up there!
Thanks, pals! I am absurdly nervous. Have not done anything in so long that I guess I'm just not used to the idea anymore!
