I heard and liked Donavan's Widow With A Shawl a few times back in the 70s, but no one I ever mentioned it to over the years knew what the hell I was talking about when I mentioned it or inquired about it.

so, before leaving Donovan behind, i wonder if anyone agrees with me; or would admit to agreeing with me...
i love the "over-produced" version of catch the wind that used to be on the Donovan's greatest hits album; now replaced (a la little wing on Hendrix in the west; or darker than blue on Curtis!)with the trying-to-sound-like-Dylan version, which i think lacks in emotion and is generally weak.
...the orchestrated version seems to be hard to get now. i'm glad i still have the original record.
