Starts off in a slow 40-beat complicated, heavy rhythmic cycle, moves eventually into 19- and 10-beat sections, ending up in an ecstatic 6/8. It would be a shame to fade or edit it. This is Aita Hasbawiya, from the region of Asfi."

	9:15pm Dean: I wonder whether Moroccan copyright law--about which I know precisely nothing--prohibits copying or unauthorized publication even for research. Even if there's a fair use provision similar-ish to US law, wholesale copying of an entire work might risk being an infringement.

	9:36pm tim abdellah: I always OK'd it with musicians ahead of time that I was recording for my research and to help me learn the music. I plan to deposit the recordings in an archive at some point, so other researchers can access the recordings.

	9:42pm tim abdellah: Hey Coelacanth - glad you're enjoying! Fortunately most of the stuff in my collection comes from cassettes, and most cassettes are from the pre-auto-tune era.

	9:36pm tim abdellah: I always OK'd it with musicians ahead of time that I was recording for my research and to help me learn the music. I plan to deposit the recordings in an archive at some point, so other researchers can access the recordings.
