WFMU is streaming iive at The Flat's BKSpeed Coffee her in Williamsburg, Brooklyn folks! Mention the year Ken was born to get a quarter off ANY drink or breakfast burrito!
Much as I enjoy the thought of Derek Bailey serenading morning coffee drinkers, I think you may have wandered onto the wrong playlist, @Jeezy? Glad to hear FMU is in such good company, though.
I'd love for this to be my drive time music, NYC-market radio being what it is, with one of various incarnations of Jack-Mack and Chucklefuck in the Morning on most stations 'round here.
woo hoo, no one in the office today so for once I get to listen to DO: radio live! I did miss the first 45 minutes since I was bailing out water pouring in from the old walled off back door here in the office, but I'm here now.
Yikes, hyde, that's never fun!! We had regular floods at one office where I worked, either through the roof or from the poorly drained swamp surrounding our building, so I fully sympathize.
the office here is built into an old quarry, so I guess periodically when it rains like it did last night. it just floods some when the capillaries get filled up with water. Should be OK as long as it doesn't monsoon again today!
ha, that reminds me of my college dorm days. there were thse guys on our floor that we called "the idiots" who would always hang around our room until we discovered that a little "idiot repellent" aka free jazz (usually the Art Ensemble) would always drive them right out immediately.
@Jeff: There is some sort of Douche twist, of the sort P&R is good for re: its supporting characters. Not having regular TV, I do need to get my ass to the library and pick up the last 2 seasons; work and life went pear shaped around when they were broadcast and I got off track.
@ljfw: I have a habit of not finishing series; I just can't face the end. I gave up on the last season of P&R, even as my family plowed through it all.
@Jeff: Word. I finished Mad Men and Breaking Bad in real time, b/c I wanted to see how the protagonists would end up. I wasn't in the best of space to say good-bye to Leslie Knope.

Sorry to hear about your water situation, @hyde. Maybe I should play something from Song of the Bailing Man later...
