Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from January 9, 2015 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Jeff, that story justified my never using revolving doors. That and the end of "The Godfather."

Yeah, diary entries and other records indicate Tizol, Woodman, and Quentin Jackson were all playing with him. I don't know much about Ellington's revolving door (heh heh). Hard to say who had the solo.

Heh, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company C" ties my last comment into a tidy sonic bow. And as I was working on a Mould-y composition before taking this much needed break from the headphones, it's all so nice and neat in a world gone mad.

Are you suggesting Bette Midler played trombone for Ellington, kat?

Ha, yes, ever-increasing loops of a bow!

Looking forward to getting some added Colour(s) after the show, @kat330...

Speaking of our mad world, I woke up in the middle of the night with the thought scientists need to invent a serum, some vaccine that when injected produces a sense of humor in the vaccinee.<--?

Thanks, Jeff! JT did a very minor visual to go behind it at YouTube, too. His cleverer backdrop for one of my tracks is his Betty Boop -- not Midler -- cartoon pastiche for "Black Crow Blues."

Dean:

We have that serum, kat. It's called gin.

That .gif brings back a strong memory of encountering my first revolving door as a very young one. Like the escalator, I was convinced I would come to harm when engaged with them.

You mean the dog no one knows you are on the internet?

I wonder if we smell as bad to a dog as dogs smell to us. Only reason I prefer a cat as a pet over a dog is the aroma factor. I suppose if I had the funds to have someone groom the pet every day, but as that isn't going to happen, I'll stick to a self-grooming animal.

But after a cat eats some tuna or other canned catfood, then "cleans" herself or himself, he or she becomes a big cat food aroma distributor.
