	12:17pm kat330: Philo and I had a quiet stay-at-home holiday this year. His job forces him to take vacation days for those not already paid holidays during the final week+ at year's end. Sometimes we go away -- like to New Orleans -- but if he can work instead to save the days, we do that.

Once upon a time I'd make little pecan pies (using muffin pan), and that crust was something as simple as flour + cream cheese. Probably some salt and sugar, too, don't recall.

Her big gift was a toy kitchen play set so she can cook like her poppa....took me three days to put the damn thing together, but now she tells people "poppa make it for me"

	1:41pm still b/p: Oh, I hate the name lost suddenly, maddeningly, inexplicably, and more frequently now, when you're in situation where you should introduce someone to someone else. So you dodge it or just don't try and hope for the best. Name returns to brain 1 to 24 hours later.

	1:52pm kat330: Compound in cooking terms is something I only learned of in the last decade and a half or so. If I have a name-cross problem, it's usually about a more recent addition to my vocabulary. I've never been a cookbook reader.

In Spring '92 I went to some small club and saw Albert Collins -- I THINK, that's right and not Albert King (I know, for shame on me, but I have a good excuse for back at that dark time). Wanted to remember for sure so I could tell the local Kentuckiana Blues Society prez about it without some obvious inaccuracy.
