First concert I ever saw was the Monkees. 1968. I was eleven years old. I wore a paisley shirt and had a Beatle haircut. And I wore my belt so the buckle was on the right side because that's how Davy Jones wore his.

The Monkees were my first band. When I was 10, we barely had a record player or radio (mostly the car radio tuned to easy listening pop), but we sure as hell had a TV, and I watched that damn show every Monday night (it was on Monday, wasn't it?)

GREAT show Evan and Ms. Lichtman! For me the best B&H tune is "Girl I'm Out To Get You." Fantastic.

“Wait, B&H were on Bewitched *and* Jeannie?” There was this magical time in the 1960s where Hollywood TV was a lot freer & more fun than folks think. And that was it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm
pacific standard simon:

"Bingo, Bango, Bongo and Irving" -- Uncle Michael, I didn't realize that you were telling me the names of "The Mosquitoes". One can only wonder at the interface of your brain to your basement archive of Gilligan's Island episodes.

Pete from Boston (and NJ):

The Wellingtons, of course played the first season theme song. The incidental music that year (who can forget the Gilligan's Island incidental music?) was composed by one Johnny Williams, who had a few hits in the 1970s scoring a shark flick and some campy space thrillers.

If anyone else is interested in the subject of rock group cameos on '60s TV shows, the following site has a PDF listing of confirmed sightings (also films).
