The Sinatra Question is of course a perennial - & would be grievous to Franksplain amidst as informed a lot as present company. To me - it's a bit of a game of technique versus authenticity with Frank. A little like Eric Clapton maybe. You know the Chops are in there somewhere - & a Soul that could be expressed. But it's someone almost hiding behind their Capability to mitigate between their real Self & all of Us out here. Because of their particular personality convolutions... & like Clapton - the stylistic periods are distinct - & not all their output is equally Relevant. @ all...
