	12:13pm drr: When Fear Of Music came out, Talking Heads already had a stamp of disapproval in our house (our mom saw them on SNL with us and was what I would describe as disgusted, couldn't believe we liked them). Fear Of Music had such a dark vibe I wasn't sure I liked it at the time. Cut to about a year ago, when my mom asked me "Would I like David Byrne?" and i had the pleasure of answering (truthfully) "yes".

Back in the late 80s early 90s, there was a band in Cincinnati called The Love Cowboys who covered Back of A Car! Not being terribly familiar with Big Star, with exposure only 2nd hand, hearing this took my by surprise.

	12:36pm (another) Patrick in Hoboken: Oh no, John King died... thank you Evan. Wasn't aware. He was a colorful character. In the 1980s he hosted a great program called "Entertainment USA" on the BBC, which would review, well, entertainment in the USA for that week. He loved the US and gave much more insight into the country and culture than we in the UK could get anywhere else.

	12:13pm drr: When Fear Of Music came out, Talking Heads already had a stamp of disapproval in our house (our mom saw them on SNL with us and was what I would describe as disgusted, couldn't believe we liked them). Fear Of Music had such a dark vibe I wasn't sure I liked it at the time. Cut to about a year ago, when my mom asked me "Would I like David Byrne?" and i had the pleasure of answering (truthfully) "yes".

Not being terribly familiar with Big Star, with exposure only 2nd hand, hearing this took my by surprise.

	12:36pm (another) Patrick in Hoboken: Oh no, John King died... thank you Evan. Wasn't aware. He was a colorful character. In the 1980s he hosted a great program called "Entertainment USA" on the BBC, which would review, well, entertainment in the USA for that week. He loved the US and gave much more insight into the country and culture than we in the UK could get anywhere else.
