I want to find that late 70s SNL skit where one by one people were turning into Reaganites - a parody of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It was both funny and eerily prescient.

I purchased this album at a campaign rally in Brooklyn for Jesse Jackson in 1988. Unknown to me, my future wife (also named Jessie) was at that same rally and also purchase a copy of this fundraising campaign recording. We may be the only house in a America with TWO COPIES of "Jump For Jessie."

True story:

My first foray into politics was during the McGovern campaign in 1972. My sister and I went to campaign headquarters to do some envelope stuffing. The headquarters was in the Watergate Hotel. It was two weeks after the "plumbers" got caught breaking in. As my sister and I headed into the building a security guard said to us, with a chuckle, "You all better keep quiet, the place might be bugged."
