October 27, 2020: The Music of Hellraiser
In honor of Halloween and the final week of WFMU's October 2020 Hellraiser fundraiser, Devon takes a deep dive into the music of the "Hellraiser" film series. Not only have the Red Bank, NJ-born composer Christopher Young's goth synth scores for Clive Barker's "Hellraiser" and "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" reached cult status, so has Coil's original unused score (rejected by New World Pictures for being "too scary!")...and then there were eight more films in the series to follow.
