	🥁 6:03pm Brian in UK: I went into One Stop Records in South Molton Street in London in 1972, it specialised in imports. I asked about a new release by an American singer. Then this voice behind me spoke up and told me that it was coming out soon and produced by Elton John. I turned round and this fella with a Chuck Berry and T Rex records under his arm and wearing ballet pumps was speaking; much to my surprise was Marc Bolan himself. I was cool, said thanks and carried on looking at records. When I told my wife many years later she did not and probably still does not believe me.

Then this voice behind me spoke up and told me that it was coming out soon and produced by Elton John. I turned round and this fella with a Chuck Berry and T Rex records under his arm and wearing ballet pumps was speaking; much to my surprise was Marc Bolan himself. I was cool, said thanks and carried on looking at records. When I told my wife many years later she did not and probably still does not believe me.
