do i get paid vacations?
slugluv1313:
(yeah, the "upscale" jerks in strip bars flashing a lot of cash are usually the worst with tips -- the "blue collar" type guys actually "got it" that you were working & trying to make a living)

Actually this is starting to remind me of the trial scene in The Madwoman of Chaillot, late 60s movie with Katharine Hepburn, Yul Brynner, Danny Kaye and some others. There's a scene where they hold a trial for all the wealthy and powerful, with Danny Kaye ("the ragpicker" as he's billed) assuming their role. Brilliant scene.

Congrats to Missouri on Medicaid expansion and also congrats on not (presumably) screwing up the absentee voting process in the primary.
slugluv1313:
i have thought of leaving even when i was still in my 20s -- but then would think that b/c things are SO f'd up HERE, i should just stick around & be a thorn in the side of the complacent jerks & try to make things better

The kids were probably just getting back from the parks. Some parks don't close until midnight, and the Disney ones are about 40 minutes away, except, getting out fo the parking lot afterwards is like trying to get in the Holland tunnel during rush hour.
