Something a little different today...

Hi BC, I played a bigfoot song just yesterday!

Jammed on over. Hello BC!

Hey BC, make me believe!

Mr Fab:

Greetings, my fiends!

Back in the pre-Sheena era when Spacebrother Greg had a show on another 'net station, i guessed DJed and played a bunch of songs from within the contemporary Bigfoot community. yes, they have a community. (Doesn't everyone?)
Avatar 3:04pm
Mr Fab:

I used to do that - think of some fringe community or cult, then do an internet dive to find if they had any music. They usually did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm
Otis:

Starred this Don Jones cut.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm
solo mon:

In Skamania county, near here it is against the law to harass Bigfoot.
Avatar 3:05pm
DJ ARB:

I've been to the Bigfoot museum in Willow Creek, CA and the Bigfoot Bookstore. Does that make me part of the community?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm
solo mon:

Fringe Community, I wonder if there is a community of people who like fringe communities? Wait, is that Sheenas???
Avatar 3:10pm
Mr Fab:

Well then, we need our own songs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

The cover of this single is is amazing.
Avatar 3:11pm
BC Sterrett:

Welcome everyone :) Valerie is helping post the setlist today! Very helpful with shorter records :)
Avatar 3:13pm
Mr Fab:

Hopey, yeah, I love that 12-year-old level artwork.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Rich in Washington:

This is reminding me that I need to see Bobcat Goldthwait's Willow Creek again. I found it genuinely scary.
Avatar 3:15pm
Mr Fab:

He made a film that wasn't a comedy? Or was it comedy/horror?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

Rich, I was thinking the same thing. I was surprised at how scary that film was!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm
Rich in Washington:

Near where I live there is a rather controversial group of self-styled Bigfoot 'hunters'. They're rather belligerent towards anyone who questions them or dares suggest that maybe bigfoot's not actually a thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm
Otis:

Oh my gosh, that was Bigfoot recorded! I believe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm
Rich in Washington:

It's a straight up horror movie, Fab. I think some might think it's a bit similar to Blairwitch (which I've never seen) but I found it sufficiently entertaining and creepy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm
Rich in Washington:

Oh wow. I don't have this Buzz album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

It's much better than Blair Witch.
Avatar 3:19pm
Mr Fab:

Just read a review of it, and yup, sounds pretty much like "The Blair Witch Project." Same concept. But better, eh?
Avatar 3:21pm
Mr Fab:

"he weighs something like 900 pounds/that's a whole lot of monkey walking around" - that Kim Olson track is as funny as a song-poem.
Avatar 3:23pm
Mr Fab:

"I'll admit i was a little high/But I saw Bigfoot eye to eye." - this one's pretty funny, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

A lot of these have the song-poem feel, haha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm
Otis:

They really do sound song-poemy. So good!
Avatar 3:26pm
Mr Fab:

Then there's this song, about a snowman working his abs:

Jabberin' with Bigfoot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm

Just wow, wow. I am opening my mind to believe. Sober.

Mr Fab:

I always liked that Nick Lowe album title, "The Abominable Showman."
Avatar 3:36pm
BC Sterrett:

I have enough material for a Pt 3 and maybe 4 of this theme.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm
Otis:

Bigfoot sounded a lot like an acapella take of Legendary Stardust Cowboy's Paralyzed.
Avatar 3:37pm
Rush-Shell:

Wait....this is volume 2! Wow! There's more??
Avatar 3:37pm
BC Sterrett:

Part 1 was played on an episode of Lost Media Archive, before this show was created. Felt the sequel deserved to be here.
Avatar 3:38pm
Mr Fab:

Hi, Rush-Shell, yeah, so many Bigfoot records, who'd a thunk it?
Avatar 3:38pm
BC Sterrett:

Volume 1 I mean
Avatar 3:40pm
BC Sterrett:

I want someone to make a musicbox version of Paralyzed by Legendary Stardust Cowboy.
Avatar 3:40pm
Rush-Shell:

Hello, Mr.Fab. Yes, it's cool BC Sterrett finds all this stuff!
Avatar 3:42pm
BC Sterrett:

I'm helping with the Cryptid Cinema book Vol. 2 - Reviewing a lot of these recordings as a bonus feature to Stephen's publication.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

I like to think that Ron Morehead is doing all of the vocalizations on this album.
Avatar 3:46pm
Rush-Shell:

Ha! Yes!! My thoughts exactly! It's like those bad Halloween demon/werewolf sounds
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm
Otis:

When Ron Morehead is busy, they get Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec to fill in.
Avatar 3:49pm
Mr Fab:

My daughter Li'l Fab does a really creepy demon voice. Bet we could come up with some $$-making "exorcist" kinda scam.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm

This is like In Search of... the album
Avatar 4:00pm
BC Sterrett:

I'll go over the hour with one more track that would sound like the end credits of a documentary on this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm
Otis:

We need a Bigfoot Kid Stuff record. Other Kid Stuff records in that series cover The Flat Earth, Moon Landing Hoax and Loch Nessy.
Avatar 4:00pm
Mr Fab:

"If Biggie shows up in your camp some day.." Notorious B.I.G., you're alive! Who shot ya?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm
Hopey Sockmonkey:

I'm loving that idea, Otis.
Avatar 4:01pm
BC Sterrett:

Next time will be a Sid and Marty Kroft Big Foot story record :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm
