Mr Fab:

Some really anal soundtrack music fans figured out the previous films the "Night of The Living Dead" cues were used. Like, these '50s sci-fi flicks. That's what happens when you use production library music, sometimes keen-eared fans recognize the same pieces from other movies.

Hello BC & all! Good! I needed movie suggestions... here they are
Avatar 3:10pm
Mr Fab:

To answer Daniel Johnston's' question about how did Caspar the Friendly ghost die: "Casper was a twelve-year-old boy living in Whipstaff Manor with his inventor father J.T. McFadden until he died from pneumonia after playing out in the cold until it was past nightfall."
Avatar 3:10pm
Mailman Tom:

Do they still hold screaming contests? Phyllis Coates gave off a bone chilling scream in I Was a Teenage Frankenstein
Avatar 3:11pm
Mr Fab:

nothing's as scary as this '80s production/drum sounds!

When I was very young I thought Casper was Richie Rich's ghost
Avatar 3:17pm
Mr Fab:

Quite logical, joe! Just looked it up, and Richie Rich and Caspar were both published by the same company (Harvey Comics), so there ya go.

Holy Cow, we're having a really violent hail storm here!

I remember Bart Simpson saying the same thing about Casper/Richie and I just about died laughing.

Tony Randall is...the Time Traveler.

Avatar 3:28pm
Mr Fab:

Wells wrote "The Time Machine" because he was worried that workers and the ruling class would become so disconnected from each other, they'd split into different species. That message was lost on a public that just said, "Cool, time machines!"
Avatar 3:29pm
BC Sterrett:

Very cool info fab!
Avatar 3:31pm
BC Sterrett:

How do you label an LP sized 45 on here?
Avatar 3:32pm
Mr Fab:

It's still an LP, so you can leave that description.

(a 45 rpm album is pretty odd...)
Avatar 3:33pm
Mr Fab:

how kooky would it have been if Tony Randall really did star in "The Time Machine"? It would have to be a musical.
Avatar 3:34pm
Mr Fab:

The Bomboras! Cool band. Saw 'em live at the old Rhino Records store in the '90s. The keyboardist lit his organ on fire. Which was not nearly as painful as it sounds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm
joe:

I couldn't find any info on who is narrating but I did find that on the The Wonderland Imagination Theatre versions of The Invisible Man and Around the World in 80 Days the cover art was done by an noncredited Wally Wood.
Avatar 3:36pm
BC Sterrett:

Tony Randall in "The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao" is a favorite.
Avatar 3:36pm
BC Sterrett:

Wally Wood!
Avatar 3:37pm
Rush-Shell:

Bombora...isn't that a name of a ride at Lagoon? A roller coaster? Funny
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm
joe:

And yes TR as the the Time Traveler would have been very interesting
Avatar 3:39pm
BC Sterrett:

I don't remember... I hear Lagoon is open, I wonder if it's just limited entry and separation of seating I imagine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm
joe:

I have to give credit where credit is due my introduction to the Bomboras is thanks to Rob Zombie
Avatar 3:40pm
BC Sterrett:

This HAS to be Tony Randall
Avatar 3:40pm
Rush-Shell:

It's the roller coaster that plays surf music.
Avatar 3:42pm
Mr Fab:

It was a "very special episode" of "The Odd Couple."

"Aw c'mon, Felix, let's get outta here! They ain't got no bowling alleys in the future!"
"Oscar, please. these destitute proletariat need our assistance!"
Avatar 3:42pm
BC Sterrett:

I LOVE Lagoon. Especially the Pioneer Village especially. They used to have fake cowboy shootouts there when I was a kid. I think I'm too scared to go there this year, I still avoid thrift stores and grocery stores when I can. I'm still on lockdown as the corona stats spike.
Avatar 3:43pm
Mr Fab:

Where's Lagoon? Utah?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm
joe:

Might I ask what Lagoon is. It sounds like an amusement park so I'm intrigued.
Avatar 3:43pm
Rush-Shell:

Yes it's in Utah
Avatar 3:44pm
BC Sterrett:

Yes :) Local theme park. The Beach Boys mention it in their "Salt Lake City" song. They used to perform there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm
joe:

In the end they have to depend on Crazy Rhoda Zimmerman to get them back home
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm
solo mon:

Yes an amusement park doesn’t sound like much fun right now.
Avatar 3:46pm
BC Sterrett:

About 20 mins from my house. Always wanted to work there with the cool teens, now that I can, I'm too old. ha ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
joe:

Wow 10 coasters
Avatar 3:48pm
BC Sterrett:

Their cheesy haunted house rides were always a favorite. It always made me sad when they would update and make changes. The skeleton girl taking a bath, and the Tor Johnson mask part are no more.
Avatar 3:48pm
Mr Fab:

And there really is one called Bombora.

@joe I have a 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea kid version with a credited Wally Wood cover.

If there are any records you would like to hear on future episodes let me know!
Avatar 3:50pm
Rush-Shell:

Just thought it was a funny coincidence. The Bomboras, The Creature From... Lagoon
Avatar 3:50pm
BC Sterrett:

The sped up Morlock corpse decay was always the favorite part I waited for when this movie played on TV :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm
joe:

There is nothing like stumbling on a park or pier that has not updated their darkrides.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm
joe:

@webhamster henry I bet that is how someone was able to confirm that he did the work on the other two.
Avatar 3:53pm
Mr Fab:

@Rush-Shell, think Lagoon's managers are fans of contemporary surf bands? Or is it merely a...mysterious coincidence (cue spooky music)

the "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" record would be cool. Do you have that one, BC?
Avatar 3:54pm
BC Sterrett:

If I don't I'll seek it out!
Avatar 3:55pm
Rush-Shell:

Must be fans...too strange not to be! Haha
Avatar 3:59pm
BC Sterrett:

I don't usually buy new releases/re-issues but this one was on sale for $7 brand new.
