"Oh cup bearer bring forth the glass and place it to my lips, the path of love, seemed easy at first, [but] what came was many hardships. My vowels may be off, my Persian is terrible,, I prefer ottoman poets.

Though the conclusion of that one is banging he keeps going on about roads and his beloved ending with, "I followed my path of love,, and now I am loathed, how can a secret remain so if from every tongue it drips? If his presence you seek, Hafiz,, then why do you mask yourself (in Persian he is the world eclipsed), stick to what you know,, let go of imaginary fancies (of love)

I think 4 of the singles from When We Fall Asleep have gotten play on the Alternative Station I listen to in the midwest. So naturally the one I liked the least hit #1. It's not an apples to apples comparison, but getting the 5th single to be the first #1 seems kinda impressive, some albums they just stop releasing singles after the 3rd or 4th one

Lenny was thee breakthrough Comedian
- busting out from polite format standup to everything we know about it today !
& of course he paid the price for it - ending up saying 'I am not a Comedian - I am Lenny Bruce' - as it became about his legal battle with Authority & Society.
How much Relevance do you want with your Comedy ?
...Also - a lot of it is recorded poorly - like Jazz or Garage / Punk that should be represented better...

@RobKopp Do you also like "Chi Mai" by Milva?

Mister Ease:

2 deeply insightful currently active comedians, very much in the tradition of people like George Carlin, Bill Hicks & Lenny Bruce just came to mind: Jimmy Dore & Lee Camp. One of the fascinating things about both of them is that, in addition to being comedians, they are both investigative journalists who are fiercely critical of the financial and military elites. That's why Google manipulates their algorithms to make it harder to find people like that.

Dear Shelia:  You should listen to Lord Buckley, an important precursor in philosophical stand up comedy. Try the Nazz and Jonah and the Whale (both on youtube).
