Saw him years back, when The Knitting Factory had a jazz festival they would run, when Rudresh Mahanthappa was part of the band. It was great, but that's going back a while (Dave Douglas' Tiny Bell Trio was part of the same festival, to give a sense of how long ago that was; Douglas was a "Young Lion" then).
