Aymen:

I’m so glad I came across WFMU radio. As a french person internet radios are a very unusual thing around here. WFMU takes music to a whole new level for sure. The only problem is we can’t scrobble songs on the radio to have clout on last.fm :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Rich in Washington:

Lots of great shows across the WFMU'o'sphere, Aymen! Happy listening!
Avatar 1:33pm
Mary Wing:

Salut, Aymen! Scrobble songs to have clout on last.fm? I don't follow you.
  1:33pm
Aymen:

Thanks a lot:) I’m having a great time already haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
Rich in Washington:

It's sort of like clicky starring songs on WFMU, Mary. Scroggling songs gets them added to your last.fm profile. I think you can get similar songs suggested to you, etc.
  1:35pm
Aymen:

Bonjour Mary. Well you know, I said that to joke but last.fm kind of became a music resume when it comes to showing our taste to friends etc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
Rich in Washington:

I used to really enjoy the last.fm community. I haven't been there in so long. I can't remember why I stopped, exactly.
  1:37pm
Aymen:

Oh right you explained it better Rich (great name btw). Also you save all the songs you listened to so easier to find back one you liked
Avatar 1:37pm
Mary Wing:

Ah, I see! Yes, you can click the stars next to the song titles, once you create a user account here, Aymen. Start your FMU resume!
  1:38pm
Aymen:

Ohh that’s possible? thanks Mary I’ll check it out. They really thought this through haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Rich in Washington:

Oh wow. I just logged into last.fm, which I apparently haven't done since 2012.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Ike:

I think we once had last.fm compatibility here, right? But it broke and they couldn't figure out how to fix it. I think. Maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly! I used to scrobble a LONG time ago....
  1:40pm
Aymen:

omg yes it’s even better than the last.fm system
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm
steveo:

greetings! great to be listening!
  1:42pm
Aymen:

yes that got out of fashion, not surprising you guys aren’t using it anymore
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm
Rich in Washington:

Wow. My scrobblage is like a snail trail I left behind back when I was an iOS user.
Avatar 1:44pm
Mary Wing:

Hiya steveo! Just in time for 3oak! It's a good one today! (But, aren't they all?)
  1:44pm
Aymen:

Rich, do you still listen to the artists you scrobbled back then?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm
steveo:

yes they are! I just paused the stream momentarily to make sure this current track is just one song :)
Avatar 1:51pm
Mary Wing:

Heh. I thought I'd make folks wonder: is the song, or is it the stream? :-)

Avatar 1:56pm
Mary Wing:

Hi there, Parq! All chopped up and glitchy?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm
Rich in Washington:

@Aymen: Yes. Sort of. Interesting. It's like a time capsule of what I was listening to back then, what I was playing on my show at the time. I should revisit some of those artists. It's like opening up a sealed up room that's left exactly how I left it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm
Rich in Washington:

Lots of Jamaican Dub, lots of Meat Beat Manifesto, Test Department, early Laibach, etc.
Avatar 2:00pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

last.fm was acquired and shifted a bunch, which might have influenced reduction in former interest.
Avatar 2:01pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@Ike: I considered adding scrobbling to KDB listening via pop-up player but it just wasn't worth it.
Avatar 2:02pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):
