	10:35pm Franco Twinkie: Quite awhile ago I stopped getting high at parties because I could never accurately gauge the nuances of conversation. Back in the day, I would always wonder after the fact, if I had stepped over the line. Now I always know who was the guilty party.

	10:37pm Funky16Corners: My wife has definitely seen me drunk. Fortunately I am a happy drunk. As are my brothers, until you mess with is in a public setting, at which point we will be happy to take you outside (or at least we were when we were younger).

	10:48pm Franco Twinkie: I grew up next door to guys who were dealing heroin. When I saw kids I knew from school over there, I knew they were in trouble.
	10:48pm coelacanth∅: the one rule i set for myself early on in my career as a professional celebrator is that i don't mix different substances. i like getting buzzed-drunk (but not hammered) and getting high but to do both i just get fucked up and i do not want that. (i applied this as well when i occasionally did other things too, besides alcohol and herb)

	10:51pm Funky16Corners: I didn't get high until I was almost out of high school, but I made up for lost time over the next 5 or so years. I honestly don't have the energy for it anymore. I get a lift discovering new music, reading and cooking, so I guess, bury me now?

	10:54pm Funky16Corners: Hey Doc! This is not technically a cover, though it's not the first recording. This is the guy that wrote it, Mickey Newbury. Jerry Lee Lewis recorded it first, then the First Edition.
	10:55pm coelacanth∅: for a few decades i smoked <twice/year; but now i smoke to get high maybe once/month. and every night when i'm home, but not enough to get high...just to help sleep.

	10:58pm Franco Twinkie: Larry, this afternoon I went over to the place we use to live to pick figs. Afterwards I hung out with some former neighbors and discussed the possibility of tripping again. For me it kind of hard to say yes, no or maybe. Once Chresti and I were at a party in Topanga Canyon and this guy showed up with a bag of acid. He gave me a few hits, I put them in the freezer when I got home and then forgot all about it.
	10:59pm coelacanth∅: chresti, "cheeseballs"?! ...and i will go back on that to say if i ever smoked too much, (which would be very little for me) -which hasn't happened in a decade or 2, an alcoholic beverage would help bring me to earth again. but never the other way 'round.

Listened recently to a couple younger adults repeatedly getting deep deep into their shared affinity, quotes, trivia, etc, related to Sponge Bob episodes., and it occurred to me that in an earlier day for lots of guys, maybe girls, too, Python was a comparable well to keep going back to.

	11:12pm doctorjazz: THC definitely affects different people differently...me, I get anxious, definitely has an effect, but not one I enjoy (interestingly, that wasn't the case at first, but after a while it was the regular response). Had to do with genetics and predispositions...I've known some to become schizophrenic, others who've smoked for 40 years and still enjoy it.

	11:17pm doctorjazz: (...get cannabinoids, that is...) They seem to be of use for TREATING anxiety and depression (the non THC versions), some psychiatrists are recommending them.

	11:18pm Franco Twinkie: My sister made me a CBD spritzer last Saturday. After the best nap, I was pain free....for about six hours.

	11:21pm still b/p: There's a well-established coffee multi-shop and roaster company around here called Coffee By Design, often self-and-popularly called CBD. So, yeah, they've got some complications and confusion these days. People calling for the wrong product. I believe they sued someone selling the oil products from another region for a commercial name that infringed.

	11:22pm coelacanth∅: the hit i take at bedtime is a micro dose. not technically, but it really is. if i see smoke when i exhale i may have taken too much.
	11:22pm Dean: I'm a fan of 1) physical therapy, and 2) reading. Lots of 2, especially. Even overdosing on 2.

	10:48pm coelacanth∅: the one rule i set for myself early on in my career as a professional celebrator is that i don't mix different substances. i like getting buzzed-drunk (but not hammered) and getting high but to do both i just get fucked up and i do not want that. (i applied this as well when i occasionally did other things too, besides alcohol and herb)

For me it kind of hard to say yes, no or maybe. Once Chresti and I were at a party in Topanga Canyon and this guy showed up with a bag of acid. He gave me a few hits, I put them in the freezer when I got home and then forgot all about it.

Had to do with genetics and predispositions...I've known some to become schizophrenic, others who've smoked for 40 years and still enjoy it.
