91.1 report: John and Yoko faded out, and an REM song faded in, and then that faded out, and two other songs I don't recognize simultaneously faded in, one of which I can also hear on 91.9, but it's not John and Yoko. But now that faded out, and there's a commercial fading in and out.

In this part of New England, spring brings the mating call of the "peeper" frogs, which some newcomers mistake for crickets chirping in the night. The peepers near my house started last week. They live in a snow-making pond across the street.

I was listening to Joe Belock on 91.1 on my bedroom radio, but it often fades out in late afternoon. Sometimes I can get it on 91.9, but not today. I went in the kitchen, and it's coming in OK on 91.1 in the kitchen. If the sun comes out, it will fade out in the kitchen around 6:00pm.

This is all basically normal behavior, sadly.

Scott talking about car radio travelling reminded me of a trek I took 2 years ago thru CT and Westchester on a Sunday.
