	3:22pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: I've only ever used text to speech for not serious endeavours (silly videos, purposely dumb, silly music), it's always fun. There's a voice out there that sounds a lot like Yoda.

	3:31pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: I actually found out some really great Christmas organ music through one of the K-Mart background music tapes from a guy named Eddie Dunstedter (sp?) And it's some of the best Christmas music ever, next to Tiny Tim's christmas tracks.

	3:42pm Webhamster Henry: This disk was included in the WFMU Catalogue: Weird Japanese instrumentals originally composed as soundtracks for Japanese TV commercials. If only there was stuff this interesting on American TV. Shimizu's a killer music pitchman, hit and run with sound collage, twittering computers, brief rushes from one type of music to another, repetition to lull consumers into a buying coma. This cd contains 23 tracks clocking in at two minutes or less, and one piece worked up for a computer animation short. Commercials Shimizu has composed and arranged for read like a Japanese Fortune 500 - Ricoh, Honda, Seiko, Shiseido, and, of course, Bridgestone.

	4:15pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: Selected Sound Library is one of my favourite production music companies. I own a few of their records on vinyl and one on CD.

	4:19pm Otis Fodder: The Klaus album, is that Claude Larsons?
	4:19pm Otis Fodder: Ahhh, same person. Did not know that.
	4:20pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: Zoolook is a great Jarre album. Read up on Musique Por Supermarche. That's the album that he only made one copy of. It was scored for an art exhibit his mate did and he wanted it to be one of a kind. He burned the master tape. It's incredible stuff, it was broadcast on Radio Luxembourg and you can hear a poor quality copy of the album online.
	4:21pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: Klaus Netzle is his real name, but he has released stuff mostly under the name Claude Larson. Also names like Carlos Futura, VC People, Elmulab, and has made music in groups such as Sax-Bone Connection and Power Pack, the latter of which I enjoy the most.
	4:22pm Otis Fodder: I can get into Zoolook now and I like it. When it was released, I hated it. But I was 15 in high school. Funny looking back, it was so uncool as a kid, but now it's great!

	4:23pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: I actually have a nice story that spans several years on one of Klaus Netzle's Power Pack LPs. A guy from Iran posted a collection of electronic songs by unknown people to his youtube, and we became friends. For the next few years, we discovered many of these songs and who they were by. This one we discovered was by a group named Power Pack. I ended up doing a lot of looking and found the LP it was from on some shady German website and bought it.

	5:17pm Martinibomb: I'm still a huge fan of the spaces in v a p o r w a v e -- it's awesome how that kinda worked it's way across the visual aspect of the music.

Just 'cause after listening to y'all's show for 2 hours now...I keep going: ooo!- these guys would totally love these other neat multi-media artists! (Which I think are in the same vein??) Jacob (who started Paper Rad) was a local (Chapel Hill) kid here in the 90's, but I didn't meet him until much later when I helped with "Media Archaeology" in Houston. (2006?)

	5:21pm Martinibomb: My dad had a big cavernous machine shop that I worked in.. sweeping floors. the 80s AM stations would be playing kinda yacht/soft rock and I absolutely adore that sound in a big reverb drenched space. It really transports me

	5:22pm Martinibomb: So I think the sound of the spaces people heard the source material is important to the genre to. That's my argument.

	5:23pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: I have a recording I made using those K-Mart background music tapes. I added reverb and put some of the "attention K-Mart shoppers" announcements spread throughout it.

	5:24pm Rich in Washington: My wife lost both her flip phone and digital camera again recently, nearly prompting me to buy her a smartphone, but she just about an hour ago came in to show me she found them. I dodged a tech tutoring bullet.
	5:24pm Otis Fodder: As I get older the saturation of reverb in my brain increases 0.1db annually.

	5:26pm Rich in Washington: I don't trust me with reverb. I always say, when I dial in the amount of reverb that sounds right to me, dial it down 15% in mixdown.

	3:42pm Webhamster Henry: This disk was included in the WFMU Catalogue: Weird Japanese instrumentals originally composed as soundtracks for Japanese TV commercials. If only there was stuff this interesting on American TV. Shimizu's a killer music pitchman, hit and run with sound collage, twittering computers, brief rushes from one type of music to another, repetition to lull consumers into a buying coma. This cd contains 23 tracks clocking in at two minutes or less, and one piece worked up for a computer animation short. Commercials Shimizu has composed and arranged for read like a Japanese Fortune 500 - Ricoh, Honda, Seiko, Shiseido, and, of course, Bridgestone.

	4:20pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: Zoolook is a great Jarre album. Read up on Musique Por Supermarche. That's the album that he only made one copy of. It was scored for an art exhibit his mate did and he wanted it to be one of a kind. He burned the master tape. It's incredible stuff, it was broadcast on Radio Luxembourg and you can hear a poor quality copy of the album online.
	4:21pm Archivist Vivian [Dr. Airlines]: Klaus Netzle is his real name, but he has released stuff mostly under the name Claude Larson. Also names like Carlos Futura, VC People, Elmulab, and has made music in groups such as Sax-Bone Connection and Power Pack, the latter of which I enjoy the most.
	4:22pm Otis Fodder: I can get into Zoolook now and I like it. When it was released, I hated it. But I was 15 in high school. Funny looking back, it was so uncool as a kid, but now it's great!

A guy from Iran posted a collection of electronic songs by unknown people to his youtube, and we became friends. For the next few years, we discovered many of these songs and who they were by. This one we discovered was by a group named Power Pack. I ended up doing a lot of looking and found the LP it was from on some shady German website and bought it.
