Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from May 11, 2018 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Oh, no...no Eurovision on the show. I've vowed to only use my power for good. If it consoles you, you may have this, which I made six ears ago...before I came to the light.

i have to give a great promo for Tunein, the free-listening server i use for radio. when i first started using it, i just had a collection of stations available and i'm noticing now that are TONS of archived shows for the stations i listen to. the latest joy is finding hinky-dink in archive. i'd love to see WWOZ jump on that banwagon, but they only hold shows are two weeks; by that time i've forgotten the one i wanted to re-hear. Tunein is becoming a valuable resource for me and i'm sure for many others. they can keep the sports and news, i want the music..and it's free

@Brian...I don't really think it makes sense, though they would say it saves bandwidth. I think it's for the same reason they have blocked Facebook and similar sites, to keep staff from "goofing off" at work. But, they have wifi, so the staff just uses that to goof off anyway (and probably slower that way). Ultimately, I just think administrators here are evil...
