The crisis is of people not getting enough effective pain treatment, which means narcotic analgesics should be used MORE liberally, not less. You know the biggest risk factor in getting someone "addicted"? By TELLING them that a certain drug is "addictive", that you might not be "able" to stop using it. "Addiction" is a belief system.

The thing about the Sacklers is their fortunes have funded tons of feminist art centers and initiatives across the nation. At the end of the day, these donations are good. These centers would not exist without rich people donating their money. But the moral contradiction is really hard to swallow.

Also, I have a news flash regarding the history of most any art museum or collection: The source of the wealth that created those spaces is pretty dirty if you dig deep enough. The positive aspect of these collections is they are more and more open to the people nowadays.

The Louvre was originally the home of French kings before Louis XIV.

In retrospective 21st century reviews AllMusic feel the album is "an unqualified masterpiece",[2] while Trouser Press feel that the album "is sabotaged by tepid arrangements and weak production" and is "of interest mainly for its links to the band Nico had just left."[5]

Nico was dissatisfied with the finished product. Looking back in 1981, she stated:
“ I still cannot listen to it, because everything I wanted for that record, they took it away. I asked for drums, they said no. I asked for more guitars, they said no. And I asked for simplicity, and they covered it in flutes! [...] They added strings and – I didn't like them, but I could live with them. But the flute! The first time I heard the album, I cried and it was all because of the flute.[6]
