what makes the legally prescribed drugs even more dangerous is that, b/c they are prescribed by a doctor or some other "medical professional," they are believed to be safe . . .

Also, I have a news flash regarding the history of most any art museum or collection: The source of the wealth that created those spaces is pretty dirty if you dig deep enough. The positive aspect of these collections is they are more and more open to the people nowadays.
The Louvre was originally the home of French kings before Louis XIV.

and YES! when properly administered, narcotics can be great!
however -- when i had a spinal injury and could barely walk, when i got to the ER, they sent me home with 10 oxys -- and after barely a day, i understood WHY they gave me only 10!
my impression is that way too much of the "medical" profession is devoted to "managing" a problem, instead of making the effort to find the root cause and fixing that

“None of the descendants of Arthur M. Sackler have ever had anything to do with, or benefited from, the sale of OxyContin.” Sackler-Berner made no mention of Librium, Valium, or MS Contin, but he added, “Given the current controversy surrounding OxyContin, I appreciate your clarifying the matter.” did they called up every Sackler on phone book?

Nico was dissatisfied with the finished product. Looking back in 1981, she stated:
“ I still cannot listen to it, because everything I wanted for that record, they took it away. I asked for drums, they said no. I asked for more guitars, they said no. And I asked for simplicity, and they covered it in flutes! [...] They added strings and – I didn't like them, but I could live with them. But the flute! The first time I heard the album, I cried and it was all because of the flute.[6]
