Just got word my boy, Kenard Meyers passes from cancer. When I met him, he was still living in the projects in East New York. He went to every show possible (of all genres) and recorded it, and became a professional audio archivist, At his pad in E NY, he had a closest full of DAT tapes/mini-disks from floor to ceiling. He got hired to record the sound sculptures the Venice Biennial, and met a Veneto girl, and soon moved there. He would shepard me to rasta parties in E NY, I owe a lot to him.He lived life as it should be lived. If you throw something out there for Kenard, I'll be eternally grateful. grazie!
