What's even sweeter about that album that my favorite drag queen, who fancies himself the 6th Spice Girl, turned me on to it. In her boy waiter persona, he used to run "Maybe" all the time on video where he worked. The video for Maybe is amazing, too!

	4:01pm Cecile: My mom was that way. A friend of mine says he doesn't care about music, and yet he can sing every pop song that comes on the radio, and likes it when I send him house music playlists. I said you care about music, just not about knowing about it.

I think it's something to do with how rhythmic it is, with the single versus double length vowel sounds and chiisai tsu's and whatnot. 	4:09pm Cecile: Same with Spanish. I think it's the 2nd person plural tenses they don't use in North America, but they still use in Spain. So we learned everything. We did so much drilling, but it was kind of fun.
	4:09pm fred: @RevRab: A lot of the CD era music will soon be lost. You can still hear what was recorded on 78s. No way CD records will survive that way. Digital formats might be even worse, maybe not. A lot will never get a chance to be discovered again years from now

I've always loved steering people to music or movies they'd never get to on their own. In my record store days, I sold at least a dozen Cramps CDs off the player to older, dignified people who NEVER would have listened to a band with a name like "The Cramps" (let alone who LOOKED like the Cramps!)

This is a big issue to me as a fan of Dust To Digital. There won't be such a labor of love fifty years from now, because there's no such thing as digital dust

	4:28pm EarlyMorningInSeoul: In my parent's house, they still have this big boom box that had dual tape decks, so you could copy tapes. Also had the ability to record off the radio. I remember using it to make my own mix from some tapes I had.

The cutesy clear walkmans urban outfitters is selling are garbage. You need the right listening devices to keep your collection nice.

Only need the Italian pressing now, but that one doesn't have a repro, so that remains in impossible goal (two copies were offered during the last record fair in Utrecht for amounts with 4 digits!)

He was a DJ in the 60s era and his shows have been awesome to listen to. He did one show full of call/response songs. So the song "Duke Of Earl" by Gene Chandler followed by "Duchess of Earl" by the Pearlettes.

In her boy waiter persona, he used to run "Maybe" all the time on video where he worked. The video for Maybe is amazing, too!

I think it's something to do with how rhythmic it is, with the single versus double length vowel sounds and chiisai tsu's and whatnot. I've always loved steering people to music or movies they'd never get to on their own. In my record store days, I sold at least a dozen Cramps CDs off the player to older, dignified people who NEVER would have listened to a band with a name like "The Cramps" (let alone who LOOKED like the Cramps!)

Already had the original Norwegian and French one. Only need the Italian pressing now, but that one doesn't have a repro, so that remains in impossible goal (two copies were offered during the last record fair in Utrecht for amounts with 4 digits!)

He was a DJ in the 60s era and his shows have been awesome to listen to. He did one show full of call/response songs. So the song "Duke Of Earl" by Gene Chandler followed by "Duchess of Earl" by the Pearlettes.
