Sounds ripped from cassettes & CDs found in immigrant-run mom & pop stores. Deconstructed icons. Field recordings. Sonic mayhem from the far corners of the internet.

The first time i heard the Carpenters was via Sonic Youth and it blew me away. Then i heard the Thinking Fellers version and it blew me away again.

With a recording career that spanned three decades, one can assume there might be a few hit songs along the way. In Joe Osborns case, the number is around 200. This list contains songs that appeared on the pop charts. According to Joe, its a little incomplete due to the fact that he cant remember every session. In his days in Nashville, Osborn played on53 certifiable number one songs on the country charts.

the carpenters I can only take in tiny doses; but the covers can be pretty stellar.

- that's the case with many of Paul's Beatles songs. the demos or early takes, without the slippery sugar smothering them, are much preferred.
