hello Larry and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm
Uncle Michael:

I saw the Chicago cast in 1970, for my 10th birthday. Joe Montegna was in it...though he was nknown then, and I didn't find this out till researching it decades later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm

I have never had the pleasure of seeing the stage show, much to my regret.

still, really? who are these "all knowing judges"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm
Uncle Michael:

Ahh...you don't look older. I lived in Evanston in '84/'85 when I went back for a year. I grew up near-north. I remember being given a copy of The Seed on my way out of the Theater. That was educational. I soon began taking the bus down to Old Town....buying underground comix at Bizarre Bazaar.

Fogarty is at least as guilty of commidifying the unter culture as anyone. Hair was legit. What was staged at the Cheetah...well, it was as street and legit as putting David Peel on stage.

@Larry: Think the band Braniac, but noisier but just as tight. They were from Alabama, the bass player was a black lady, and the drummer and guitarist were ladies as well, the lead singer was a gay lad. They were in their early 20s to early 30s. Nice people.
