Favoriting November 7, 2017: GOBLIN (Massimo Morante and Maurizio Guarini)
Italian 70s/80s soundtrack/prog rock legends Goblin join Morricone Island in anticipation of their Irving Plaza show, the last on the 2017 U.S. and Canada "Sound of Fear" tour which winds up in NYC on November 12th. Founding guitarist Massimo Morante and keyboardist-since-1975 Maurizio Guarini discuss the band's storied history and current doings. The tour includes 4/5ths of the original band including the most consistent rhythm section of the 70s and 80s, founding bassist Fabio Pignatelli and drummer Agostino Marangolo, along with second keyboardist Aidan Zammit. This incarnation recently released an album of all new material entitled "Four of A Kind" in 2015.
