Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from October 6, 2017 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Hello Lane, some good steel from Jay Dee Manees on Chris Hillman's new one, Bidin' My Time. Sad to say Tom Petty who produced it, was not.

Isn't that the Hillman and Pedersen thing? While no Jay Dee, Herb is no slouch on steel

Eucla is a very curious place, bang in the middle of the Nullarbor Plain crossing, it features on every weather map of the continent of Australia even though less than 100 people live there, simply because there's no other town within 1000 kilometres in any direction. for some reason, i have been there, but once we hit the border we turned around and drove the 1500 kilometres back to Perth

Uncle, good show. Bit like Doug's last set for a whole show, that's a big compliment. What a song writer.
