Switching over from the broadcast stream to the Drummer stream can be hilariously startling when somebody like Greg Ashley is cursing. Since you'll never hear that on regular-flavor WFMU, the contrast provides an extra level of transgressive kick to the profanity.

Haha, thanks Ike. And apologies to Nate who's listening in the car with his 3-year-old.

  10:25am
Rich in NC:

I do not know how many eggs have hatched but I hear ALOT of pepping sounds when MA + PA bring food !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am
Amanda:

(Listener Rich told me that he has a bluebird nest in his yard FYI.)

You forgot to mention it is a WFMU birdhouse----check it out on the gallery
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am

Last weekend I heard some baby hawks in the forest but saw only a baby (fledgling) hairy woodpecker at the feeder.
  10:34am
Rich in NC:

was the forest enchanted ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am

yes well said... i think Homer's gross insensitivity in later seasons is 100% lazy writing/resting on laurels
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Somewhat off-topic, but I thought of this this morning: There should be a meme of Drumpf asking Putin about election meddling and Putin invokes Bart's "I didn't do it" line.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am
Amanda:

There might already be one! If you check the FB group "Simpsons against Trump" it might exist...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am
doctorjazz:

Hi, late arrival.
Have a nest of baby bunnies in my back yard (my puppy found it). Hardest thing is keeping the puppy away from it (my 8 year old, Ozzie, is no problem).

whoa the bus that couldn't slow down... hahaha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am
Amanda:

Aww, thank you for sharing that extremely cute news @doctorjazz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am
Amanda:

@Alex in Illinois -- wow! I wish more of those cereal box records survived today. I have the Banana Splits 7" EP on the Kellogg's label, but obviously it wasn't IN the box, at least I don't think so.
  11:44am
Rich in NC:

Brenda Lee !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am
Amanda:

I actually unloaded a lot of my Brenda Lee 45s, but now hearing that I am wondering why I would do such a thing!
  11:49am
Rich in NC:

thanks for another FUN show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am
coelacanth:

i had a few records cut off the back of cereal boxes - Bobby Sherman...maybe that's all ?; but i always wanted the banana splits song. it wasn't in the cards because my mother refused to buy sweet cereals unless they were on sale, and if they were on sale they didn't have the records on them.
  11:53am
Rob:

Great show! Thank you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am
