The other Wailers - from Tacoma! This track is sited as the sort of thing Hendrix surely heard growing up in WA state. Which is to say his roots really were Rawk as much as Blues being a Northerner of a certain age group.

Nice wide variety of music ala Irene/Steve. BTW, the Carter Family are a large part of the first installment of the PBS on the roots of American Music. And for the "record", the Jayhawks, one of my favs, is the backing group on Davies' Americana.
