Good strong start to this set...
Avatar 12:04pm Bronwyn Bishop:

hey joe and everyone :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Stevel:

Go, Joe, go!
Avatar 12:10pm Bronwyn Bishop:

this song is so perfect for al's voice, but he sounds so odd on this recording. nervous, i guess. but great to hear it <3
Avatar 12:11pm Bronwyn Bishop:

I'm seeing brian and al on friday at the nj performing arts center :D
Avatar 12:13pm Joe B:

greetings all! live music from leo bud welch coming up at 1 pm!
Avatar 12:13pm Joe B:

I agree Bronyn, great one for him to sing. i'll have to check youtube but i recall Carl singing it when i saw them do it in 1983. but i could be wrong
Avatar 12:15pm Joe B:

should be a great one friday. Billy Hinsche (sp?) has joined brian's touring band, so in addition to blondie and al, it's more beach boys than the beach boys these days!
Avatar 12:18pm Bronwyn Bishop:

ahhh cool! this will be my third time seeing them (fourth if you count this amazing tribute show in LA where al, david, and billy were there, but not brian)! and it never gets less exciting! the only question is which of my four beach boys shirts should i wear? i have one from the no pier pressure tour, a replica of brian's "help me rhonda" shirt, one with the indian-on-a-horse logo, and a "keep it clean with al jardine" one
Avatar 12:18pm Bronwyn Bishop:

in case u guys haven't noticed I'm a real big beach boys nerd hahaha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Michael 98145:

( can't go wrong with -Help Me Rhonda- )
Avatar 12:21pm Bronwyn Bishop:

I'm thinking that one too michael!
Avatar 👻 12:21pm David Shortell:

I missed Leo "Bud" Welch at the Asbury Park Yacht Club last Thursday. His performance followed a screening of the Welch documentary "Late Blossom Blues".
Avatar 12:23pm Bronwyn Bishop:

yaaaa thank you joe!!!
Avatar 12:23pm MenfussMike:

I saw Bud Welch this past Friday and Saturday in Clarksdale, MS. On Sunday he was airlifted to a hospital just before another show.
12:24pm Dave in Vermont on the phone:

I saw that in Arlington TX after a Rangers game.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Michael 98145:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm doctorjazz:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm doctorjazz:

Avatar 12:44pm Joe B:

heard it's pretty good up there. was only in the building once, for elvis costello/laura canterell in 2002
Avatar 12:53pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Great start...only thing this show needs is a live performance from a singing lumberjack.
  12:56pm melinda:

Hello!
  12:57pm Cooh John:

Thanks for the GBV preview. Gonna see them Friday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm doctorjazz:

This is great!
(am I at the right show?)
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:05pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Speaking of lumberjacks, here's the story that Jonesey mentioned this morning. A 600-year-old white oak must come down. www.cbsnews.com...
  1:16pm Nate K:

So cool you got this guy on your show, Joe.
Avatar 1:20pm Joe B:

Avatar 1:20pm Joe B:

Avatar 👻 1:57pm David Shortell:

The Beach Boys rendition of "Runaway" played early in this program reminded me of when I saw the Untamed Youth perform the same song on the day Del Shannon died.
