	9:11am Scraps: A couple days ago I received my new Microscopic Septet cd! Yeah! Along with it I got a Joel Forrester Trio and Phillip Johnston film score cd that I didn't have (it was a Kickstarter, the second time I done a Micro Kickstarter thing. I like Kickstarter muchly!)

	🥁 9:19am doctorjazz: Friday night got to hear a ne Dave Douglas band, Dada People, in Philly, who were really great, and got their CD at the show. Douglas always puts together music/bands with interesting concepts, this one a tribute to Man Ray (not terribly well attended show, though, sad...)

And, while the show wasn't dirt cheap, came to much less than most Manhattan outings in the end...)

	9:58am Jeff Golick: This large band line-up is completely bananas: Hamiet Bluiett, baritone saxophone; Sonny Fortune & Carlos Ward, flute & alto saxophone; Roland Alexander, harmonium & tenor saxophone; John Stubblefield, tenor saxophone; Kiani Zawadi, trombone; Cecil Bridgewater, Charles Sullivan, & Enrico Rava, trumpets; Cecil McBee, bass; Roy Brooks, percussion.

	11:14am Dean: Picked up a disk yesterday featuring Greg Bendian with the Cline twins and Dresser, a tribute of sorts to Gentle Giant, no kidding. The star of the show, at least upon first listening: Alex Cline.
	11:14am Jeff Golick: Yeah. Funny, though, as I would think only those interested in the record would bother to mess with the discogs tagging. Oh, you know what? It's probably a reference to the interviews that come with this CD release. We can downgrade our eye rolls to raised eyebrows, I think.

	11:20am Jeff Golick: I bought this Braxton via the Leo site, as a download. It was not easy sledding. And they remain the only ogg vorbis format files I own.

	11:29am Dean: Same goes for recordings of Charpentier's "Leçons de ténèbres." Hat hut complicates the problem with their reissues featuring different covers, never mind the house style that renders every cover very similar to others from the same era.

	11:40am Dean: I'm aware of the Sun Ra reissue of "Sunrise in Different Dimensions," which drops one track from the 2-LP set due to the limitations of CD capacity. There are others?
	11:42am Jeff Golick: The hat Steve Lacy permutations are pretty difficult to follow (as per usual).
	11:43am Dean: Also, had one of the original releases of Tapscott's "Dark Tree," could never find the companion volume, so I ended up getting the 2-CD reissue. And then there's Myra Melford's "Live in the House of Saints," the first issue of which I acquired early on. Then appears a reissue with extra tracks, so I had to get that, too! The Lacy discography...yeah, a bear.

And then there's Myra Melford's "Live in the House of Saints," the first issue of which I acquired early on. Then appears a reissue with extra tracks, so I had to get that, too! The Lacy discography...yeah, a bear.
