@Daniel Blumin: Digital History and Digital Humanities. Right now I'm trying to fit a discussion of the computer as mediation machine against Digital History's overall acceptance of computers as a way of getting a more "direct" experience of history.

The final paragraphs are always the most difficult, aren't they?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm

Damn straight, Tome, though that might pre-date me! Aloha, melinda!

Well. I had a shit tastic medical week, pink eye, a bad respiratory thing, and now on a friday night I am heading to the ER to get a thousand dollar medication that I need. Which the pharmacy cant fill that easily, GO ME!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm
Daniel Blumin:

doca, I always found it hardest to start! Computers as "direct" experience, eh? greetz, Eric + Fox!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm
Daniel Blumin:

Aaron, get well asap, Sire!
Avatar 9:59pm
doca:

@Daniel Blumin: To start writing, I usually keep playing in my head with some sentences 'till I find the right one. But the last ones are always transpiration, not inspiration.

And yeah, a lot of people in Digital History say the computer creates a immediate experience of the past, as if one is in touch with it. I find that hard to follow.

I remember listening to WFMU about 12 years ago but I can't find it in the archives. It was an answering machine recording of a woman who was looking for her boyfriend she thought was cheating on her with his neighbor. With every message the caller got more and more frantic and threatening. She even threatened to go to his apartment building and kill the girl the caller thought he was cheating on her with
