	10:21pm Kris Holmes: Pee Wee Crayton was pretty big at that time in the early 50s, those Modern/Aladdin/Imperial sides were popular & R&B hits, so it's entirely possible

	10:27pm Kris Holmes: In high school he listened to the music of Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Louis Jordan, and his prime inspiration, Nat Cole of the King Cole Trio. playing piano and singing in a style influenced by Nat Cole, Louis Jordan and Erroll Garner. blending the raw blues of his childhood with modern pianistic influences of John Lewis, Thelonius Monk and Al Haig. His vocal style was influenced by blues singers Percy Mayfield and Charles Brown.

	10:41pm Kris Holmes: i'm trying to think but back in the mid-90s there was a great series of CD comps that i think Capitol put out in cardboard covers (digi paks) with cartoon illustrations on the front, i have the Crayton one in storage & it is outstanding, all the Imperial sides. It's his best stuff.
