One of the things that absolutely knocked me out was the revelation that in that part of the country, in winter, with kerosene lamps and tobacco, it would have been dim and hazy INDOORS. That movie is so scrupulous it's a time machine.

some of the cartilage around the thyroid surrounds the voice box. Something, which they have to look at in a couple of weeks, is poking into my throat. They are thinking that they can take care of it thru endoscopy or meds.
