Incredible show this week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40pm

I think it was on last week's show that some other child of the 80s and I basically commented "How did we miss so much good stuff the first time around?" Especially since I prided myself on knowing what was going on musically.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42pm
Bootsie:

I'll definitely be having another listen via the archives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45pm
mariano:

Haha! I was thinking to myself before looking at the track listing "She sounds like an alterna-Stevie Nicks!" Gotta say I'm not very familiar with B-N, it's a pleasant surprise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm
Michael 98145:

@mariano, it's because radio lacked so much
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51pm
mariano:

@Michael 98145: that's true, plus no web or YouTube, back then the only hope was a good independent record store, and what you could order through zine, but even with that it was much easier to miss things. I miss the feel of the 80s alternative music scene, when it was felt like some out-of-the-way cool little club few people knew about, but I really love having access to so much music now because of the web.

Is the Rob to whom you're saying hi the band's drummer? Former hubby of Lois? If so, "Hi, Lois." I used to ride home from downtown LA on the bus with her?

Thanks DJ PB: really been digging the shows, great selection!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm
Michael 98145:

@mariano, yup. There was the Village Voice, NME, and college radio. Not a hell of a lot else.
