- which is a social history of acid. It's not about the Music as such...I can't imagine this new book wouldn't be well worth it!

Musically - I think if (& only if) you get to pick & choose - hopefully w/ some informed assistance - you can become very much a Dead enthusiast. But - w/ the gushing firehose of Music available now - I very rarely choose it...or choose to sift thru it...
I concluded that the definition of 'Folk Music' is anything you & someone else you might run into on the beach w/ a fire & a guitar might both know. The Dead were easily & notably - that. Even Punks you'd meet would know the Dead too...
