Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 15, 2016 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

My mom once found a children's LP "Daydreaming for Children" I think - parts of it were really demented - all about career choices - but some gave the worst possible reasons such as being a lifeguard so you can rescue a rich girl who will have to marry you, being a dentist to sadistically inflict pain - totally crazy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm

for those who may have missed it, Alice Cooper's almost-forgotten 'Easy Action' record (the band's 2nd) is excellent and adventurous...as much as David Briggs hated producing it, there are some genuine pre- "Love It To Death" gems contained within....

I wondered if the album title Easy Action was taken from a line in West Side Story, from the early part of the "Cool" number. Wiki says it is. Alice stuffed all kinds of damn things and themes into his later over-the-top concert production numbers. Surprised there wasn't some Shark vs. Jets rumbly biz, too, in the line-up of mummery and hash.
