March 29, 2016: ANDRZEJ KORZYńSKI
Polish composer Andrzej Korzyński joins Devon during his first ever U.S. trip to attend Lincoln Center's "Spotlight on Andrzej Zulawski" which included the U.S. premiere of "Cosmos," his final collaboration with Zulawski who passed days before the series on February 17, 2016. Their collaborative efforts spanned four and a half decades beginning with "The Third Part of the Night" (1971) and continuing with the banned "Diabel" (1972), "Possession" (1980), "On The Silver Globe" (1988) and "Szamanka" (1996). Maestro Korzyński got his start with Poland's other great "Andrzej" director, Andrzej Wajda, with "Everything For Sale" (1968) and notably later "Man of Marble" (1977) and its sequel, Cannes Palme D'Or winner "Man of Iron" (1981).
