Just pledged to your show, Fabio -- i actually still OWN that "I'm In You" 45, complete with that *dreamy* picture sleeve (insert 1970s teenage girl sigh here)
Even as a teenager, i had to wonder -- SOMEONE in some sort of marketing capacity MUST have realized that Frampton's "pretty boy" looks would sell records -- they sure were right!

I appreciate the Beatles more now. But hearing their worst songs over and over made a lot of us dislike them.

...and they did inform many people of music that they otherwise would never have heard; and as they did, those cultures did acknowledge it. (as indians playing beatles' songs on traditional instrument...etc)

...saying The Beatles restored Harmony to All of Music - including 'Classical' Music - when it had gone all Avant-garde & Modernist ! I like his exposition a lot - for showing someone like me who isn't musically Technical the specific qualities of The Beatles ('Eleanor Rigby' is Modal - oh, hadn't thot of that!) - but...For a Rawk Rebel, isn't the point that The Beatles expanded & evolved Pop into the Weird ? The opposite, in other words? & - yeah - singling out The Beatles as thee single 'Classic' exalted Artistes in all of Pop/Rawk who achieved anything - that rankles w/ me...

it's just when someone assumes authority that bothers me. going to school doesn't make one smarter, and sometimes not even more knowledged.

- i once had a great conversation in a bar that went bad when i said i didn't like "stairway to heaven"! he said i'm just saying it to be contrary, even though i had solid, specific reasons for not liking it. he could not accept it so decided i was full of shit and then rapid-fire asked me about many other such things.
...there was also no way anyone could possibly dislike "hotel california".
