Fabio, thanks for your amazing show and your generosity with the FMU audience. I don't want to try and split my pledge but I do want to let you know that yours is one of my favorite shows. I must say I have come to look forward to your time with Clay Pigeon, even though it means less of the the great music you share. Have a great marathon.

My favorite bit about "Frampton Comes Alive" is how they mixed in the crowd sound. Listening to it, you'd swear it was in some 20,000 seat arena. But it was actually recorded primarily at Winterland in San Francisco, which only holds 5,500 people.

Even as a teenager, i had to wonder -- SOMEONE in some sort of marketing capacity MUST have realized that Frampton's "pretty boy" looks would sell records -- they sure were right!

@Stepchild, I believe the narration in "Blast of Silence" is in the _second_ person, as in "You're alone. But you don't mind that. You're a loner. That's the way it should be. You've always been alone. By now it's your trademark. You like it that way." The narration is by Lionel Stander, in many great comedies from the 1930's before he was blacklisted. I used to talk smack about Sinatra - Rawk Hater - White Jazz - Square generation. Love him now of course...He was before my time so I didn't get it yet. Came to mock but stayed to pray: made fun of Crooning - realized that was because it had 'got inside' me...So younger age groups may well be about The Beatles (like people in British Comedy have made a point of being Not Monty Python for some time now...)

Scott, I still get a thrill every week when I hear Giant Man too. I can't believe such a seemingly serious character as Fabio was flicking you in the art house theater, and during such a perfect film as Mulholland Drive, no less! He definitely owes you something in my book...
