If I'm not mistaken, the picture of the great Herb Edelman is from his series "The Good Guys," in which he and Bob Denver owned a diner.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm ChrisB.:

Herb was a Good Guy. So was Bob Denver.
  1:08pm P-90:

Herb Edelman, one of the true giants. Not the typical somewhat obscure playlist memorial subject. Amazing career. Aloha, Rex and Paradisianados!
  1:10pm P-90:

Herb was never less than 100% in any part, large or small.
  1:12pm P-90:

Any 45 entitled "Apache Uprising" will almost inevitably be something great.

That slice of bread balances on that sammy like a mattress balances on a bottle of wine ....(i still got it)
  1:16pm Crosgrove:

I think Herb was in a few episodes of streets of sf or cannon. Since ME tv took both series off, I'm not sure.
  1:18pm Crosgrove:

...and thanks for the tommy bell spin!

Avatar 1:46pm Marc Francis:

Fools Paradise is the soundtrack to my neighbour leaf blowing his snow. He just spent 25 minutes blowing the snow off his driveway instead of spending 5 minutes with a shovel. What a lunchbox.
  1:48pm Bill W:

Herb played 'the King of Newark' in a 1964 Chita Rivera musical on Broadway. http://www.ibdb.com/Production/View/2838
  1:49pm P-90:

Herb also shone (shined?) in eight episodes of "Love American Style", to which Gaylord payed musical tribute two weeks ago; as eight different characters: LAS was an anthology, and very much influenced by the broadway comedies of Neil Simon, whose "Barefoot in the Park" was Herb's big break, on stage and in the movie with Redford and Fonda.
Avatar 1:50pm Marc Francis:

You are on fire again, Rex.

  1:53pm P-90:

I remember when Herb bit the big one twenty years ago, only 62 years old, he was so familiar to my family from TV and movies that it was almost like we lost someone we knew personally...
