And hello again. This radio show was... uh, I think "performed" is a strong word, but will do for now... while suffering the effects of only 3 hours of sleep from the previous night's punishment at karaoke with many WFMU staffers and their respective special peers. Be advised, that is a disclaimer, not a boast. The show never lost steam, but only because it never really reached escape velocity. That said, I still think it has a nice inbetweeny quality, so I hope you enjoy. The events of the day leading up to this show are so comically uninteresting, I wouldn't dream of boring you with them. Let's just say the biggest activity I had on deck was to go to the video store to rent the movie Red Dawn and even *that* failed. Evidently, I need a life.

Gits | Another Shot of Whiskey | Frenching the Bully | I won't bother posting a link that will get out of date quickly, but as of yesterday, there was an Associated Press report stating that a suspect has finally been arrested in the murder of Gits vocalist Mia Zapata ten years ago. In my opinion, The Gits were one of the most utterly riveting and criminally undersung bands of their era. I hope a conviction will help bring some small sense of closure to Mia's friends and family.

Paul Anka | You Are my Destiny | Paul Anka Gold | Life is a mere joke until you, like I, have witnessed WFMU's own Scott Williams belt this out in a crowded karaoke bar. Only later did I discover that Scott's band covers it, so he'd had lots of advance practice, making my fool-ass rendition of "Suspicious Minds" look like the work of the amateur I truly am.
Trouble Funk | Trouble Funk Express | Early Singles
OK, that's enough outta me. Get away from my car, kid. |
