@ngh - Wow, pastis and UP pasties would be an ODD combo!
I will be making brinner later, also. Pureed chicken livers with cream, butter, etc (basically runny mousse), pureed cauliflower, pureed spinach, pureed beets... you get the idea. But won't be horrible!

Damn, that looks yummy, I wish the wife wasn't a veggie, and dairy was kind to me (Ate too much last weekend, the GI tract hasn't forgiven me). I don't know where to even order chicken livers around here, I used to order them fried from a good soul food place in FL.

@ngh - SUPER lucky here - Whole Paycheck sells *bulk* Bell & Evans chic livers in the butcher case, a 1/4 lb costs me 67 cents and that stretches to 2 ample rich and delicious protein servings.
A sorely missed local pizza place used to top a pizza with fired chicken livers and capers oh my gosh second best pizza ever (best = Pepe's white clam pizza in New Haven Ct) Not couting plain ole slices of course!

Dear god I want to chew something, though. NOT for a long time I fear. But at least I can still taste, reveling in that glory while I can.

If I had dairy issues I'd be stuck drinking Boost or Ensure. I am so sorry for people with dairy issues!

No chew? At least September? Could be much, much longer. Will lose most taste soon, will gain radiation burn/pain/swallowing issues in about 1 1/2 weeks. Heading into major suckiness. BUT if get through suckiness will be ALIVE. That is ALL that counts.
I have to do exercises every day to avoid the worsening of my lack of range of jaw/neck muscle motion, known as trismus, better known as LOCKJAW. Yes, if I don't practice opening my mouth wide and around I am danger of LOCKJAW. Who knew? It's really hard to get rid of once initiated.

All so very strange. BUT you guys are gonna get me through xoxox
