I loved that concert last night, the guitars sounded so great, and Im in love with Nimol from Dengue Fever. And the show almost sold out so the musicians and the station both made money. Twas great.
I agree Ken, it was a great night. And Nimol's voice was incredible... that was definitely the highlight for me. I really liked her first song and then the duet with the grandson at the end was really special.
Dangit, forgot to check out the Grits Too Big To Roast again.

Ken,
It sounds like a classic show poised to be remember for years to come just like the 1973 Led Zeppelin concert in MSG.
On another note, wouldn't be great if the Monty Hall concerts were hologramed all over the world? Just like the appearence of Stephen Hawkins in Australia via Cambridge just few days ago.

Did I say Stephen Hawkins? HahAhaAh! I mean to say Stefan Hawkwind.
I'm glad I'll be able to catch that show digitally - I was seriously thinking of hopping a bus down to see it! I hope this is just one in series of one-of-a-kind shows at Monty Hall!
Congrats, Ken (and everyone else) on a terrific success of a show. I kinda feel sorry for the people who opted to go to City Winery. And yes, Nimol is a goddess. I saw her with DF a few years back, and she was even more beautiful last night, not to leave out her voice. Will Saturday's broadcast be archived? A lot of us will be making our way back from the Point of Green at that time.

Webhamster Henry,
Alas. These are the most memorable concerts ever:
Bob Dylan - Newport Folk Festival 1965
Beatles - Shea Stadium 1965
Jimi Hendrix Monterrey 1967
Woodstock 1969
Rolling Stones Altamont 1969
Bruce Springsteen - The Roxy 1978
Freddy Mercury Tribute 1992
Dengue Fever - Monty Hall 2015
@FOFO: Dengue didn't actually play. The singer, Nimol, performed classic songs of her country with a different backing band of Cambodians. Dengue fever is backed by US born people and fronted by Cambodian born Nimol.
I was confused by this myself till I looked it all up.

Ken,
I detect a huge latent demand to see Dengue Fever live. Time for WFMU to unleash the 'Pay-Per-View' scheme.
Blood doping is the practice of boosting the number of red blood cells in the bloodstream in order to enhance athletic performance. Because such blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to the muscles, a higher concentration in the blood can improve an athlete's aerobic capacity (VO2 max) and endurance.
argggghhhhh... I'll be working as a volunteer at record fair when Sex and Broadcasting plays.. damn!

Fellow europeans,
We need to keep up with the Joneses and open our own Monty Hall so we can come here and post about 'how good Schlammpeitziger was last night' or 'what a stupendous voices the women from Les Reines Prochaines have', etc. Let's do it and start in London.

fofo: I think you may have just logged the first "Monty Hall Franchise" request. Bravo!
the record fair is near the G train - three blocks from the Greenpoint Ave stop. you can also get the East River Ferry from two different locations in Manhattan. additionally, the L train is running Friday if you want to transfer from there.
shit.. now I'm debating rescinding my volunteer spot on saturday just to see the documentary... argh

The Palestine Highschool Glee Club cover song of MIdnight Cowboy is one of my favourites songs ever! And it's your favourite too you just don't know yet!
Only a chickenschlitz would take Uber when taking the E or 7 to Court Sq and switching to the G there is so easy. Queens is just a state of mind, ya cowards.
I was just napping & dreamed that I was composing a reply here to somebody suggesting a certain band's music be played here overnight. The person linked to a page very much like this one, but with a synchronization feature such that sliding the right pane to a comment at a particular time caused the left pane to scroll to the corresponding credit in the show.
Then I dreamed of a helicopter towing a small blimp & releasing it above me.
Kevlicki, I think the point is that whether Ken is vegetarian or not, he's getting old, and even though he's years younger than me, we don't absorb B12 as well with age. I didn't want to go for weekly injections, so I'm taking the pills too.

Dan B From Upstate,
Rammstein is a psychological phenomenon that takes place in Ken's imagination rather than external physical reality.
