Instead of spreading money all over town on foord, drinks & entertainment, hang out & listen to WFMU on Saturday night. Then send the station the money not spent on the other things. Or do both; that also works, right?

Cooh John:

Tuning in to the tremendous tunes. Thanks. Hello siblings.

The dome reminds me of the big souvenir teepee at Six Flags Great Adventure.
  10:36pm

Faye, if you haven't before, you should play some Vladimir Horowitz. Show the squares some class.
  10:37pm

The sound in there is surprisingly decent and not boomy and messy like I assumed it'd be.

My first FMU show was Kenny G, who I thought was some mutant rainman in his moms basement. Then I realized he was part of an organized radio station that encouraged his behavior. And here I am.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm
Faye:

oh god Carm that's a weird first show
  11:02pm
Carmichael:

Yes, it definitely warped me for the better.
  11:03pm
JakeGould:

Whenever someone says that WFMU has weird shows all I want to say is have you ever seriously listened to Jonathan Schwartz on WNYC? That guy is weird in a whole other way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03pm
Faye:

do people say that?
  11:05pm
JakeGould:

That WFMU has weird shows? Yeah. But IMHO Jonathan Schwartz freaks me out a bit.
  11:06pm
nichk:

WFMU's shows ARE weird. That's why it's worth listening to. There is seriously not enough weird in the world. There's almost none. Everyone conforms.
  11:07pm

The Manatees! Who played them, Dan Bodah?? Just yesterday, I think. Excellent music ...

Dan Bodah is on Monday nights, yo.
  11:10pm
Dr. Funkenstein:

Also Thursday you got the dusty show, Friday shut up weirdo and stroll into Saturday with Faye.

Gotta have priorities maaaan

“Shut Up Weirdo” this week was weak. Frangry & Michelle admitted as much.
