Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Matt F:

Okay, I think this Miriam song can now be officially considered a WFMU hit.
Avatar 12:34pm Joe B:

dunno, not familiar with the inner workings of the star system!
Avatar 12:36pm kat330:

Hmm, did you enter the title differently? Or maybe because the "artist" field is empty?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm MattBelow:

Bound to be on Heavy Airplay!
Avatar 12:39pm kat330:

I'll check with it later.
Avatar 12:52pm Mary Wing:

Yes, there needs to be an artist and title listed for a star to appear. Even "unknown" would work as an artist name, Joe. :-)
  12:56pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Yaaaaay!!!!
Avatar 12:56pm Joe B:

Thanks Mary, filled in so click away kat!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Stevel:

BA and the Bombshells are pleasing to my ear.
  1:08pm Bluesman:

I am officially distracted from doing any work.

  1:53pm ?:

  1:54pm ccrides:

He was my favorite guitar player of all time!!!...:)O(:..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Nate K:

That Cyclone 60 is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Stevel:

I also approve of The Ones. What a song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm efd:

yeah, this Ones collection is really good! Wish I hadn't missed them the first time around.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Stevel:

Were The Ones a Milwaukee band? Were they also Ozone? So many questions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Stevel:

Ah, from a Youtube post, presumably by the label:

RerunRecords
Ozone changed their name to The Ones by the time this song became the A-side of their only vinyl release, a 45 on the Blue Ribbon label. Watch for a full LP of Ozone/Ones material out late 2012 on Rerun Records out of St. Louis! Other Milwaukee reissues coming, too!
Avatar 2:04pm Joe B:

yes on Milwaukee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm SeanG:

wow Blaire Alise is amazing
Avatar 2:06pm Joe B:

glad you dug it Sean!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Stevel:

If they were still around in the early '80s, I must have passed them by in Madison (81-85) I'd say the name sounds familiar, but its hard to tell with a simple handle like that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Stevel:

Youtube clip as Ozone, from a telethon. Cool on a few levels:

www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm SeanG:

yeah thanks for the live set Joe!
  2:13pm KP:

Hi Joe, sorry I'm late
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm efd:

Sorry Joe, my blurb was not optimized for on-air reading! Thanks for the mention!
Avatar 2:22pm Joe B:

no sweat efd! i should have looked before going on mic!
Avatar 2:22pm Joe B:

hey KP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm Nate K:

I actually stumbled over the alliterations as well. I said I could handle one, but not two in a row.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Nate K:

Joe B, never look before you leap, at least on the air. More fun that way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Stevel:

My worst news-read ever had to do with a story on the emerald ash borer and how a certain species of wasp was being imported to fight the invasive insect. "Insect" was not a word you could use to generalize, as two types of insects were at issue.

Say "wasps" a few times. I had to say it about 6 times in 35 seconds. It took the better part of an hur to record the story. I still have nightmares-s-s-s-s-
  2:35pm KP:

We should have dream pairings to sing carpenter
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Jeff from Rahway:

That Ugly Beats record is fantastic...one of my faves of the year
Avatar 2:37pm Joe B:

well KP, I would go with ben vaughn and palmyra delran!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Nate K:

Is that Augie Meyer on keyboards on the Ben Vaughn track?
Avatar 2:39pm Joe B:

you got it Nate! I agree Jeff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Nate K:

One of a handful of instrumentalists who I would say is unmistakable.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 2:41pm Jeff from Rahway:

I spelled Jeff Samardzija without cheating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm joe:

I had someone at my desk what was Joe talking about there with Jonesy? I could only pick up pieces.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Nate K:

This Above record is perhaps flawless.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm MattBelow:

Muchas Gracias Joe! The Stents, Muck and the Mires, Quitty and the Don'ts and The Above Sat August 16th. Mark your calendars!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm joe:

The Above was my final show at Maxwells
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm joe:

@MattBelow where is that at?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm MattBelow:

@joe Oh Doy! The great Hank's Saloon in Brooklyn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Sem Chumbo:
