Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 25, 2014 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Somebody really needs to play John Oswald's Greyfolded.

The dead may be the perfect counter-balance to Bryce!

I always thought the role of mood enhancers at Dead concerts was so that they NEVER sounded out of tune...

@UM Does that imply you can't dance? (Just something I noticed among devotees I've known and loved ...)

Uncle Michael:

I think I can dance and that's all that really matters.

One show...1977, I think. Enjoyed it although psychedics we bought were no good. Concert didn't turn me into a bigger fan of the band.

I first heard the Dead while in a VW bug on a Summer's day in 1975. Heading west on I-69 if that's important.

It's a sleepy bounce, but this bed music does have a bounce. That's a good thing. A necessary thing.

@Sue P. Then only at home, when no one will know, right?

The hippie would get frustrated while being buzzed in, then just settle for getting buzzed.
Great show, UM! Many thanks!!

I'm outta here, following the dog back through the swinging cardiac (esophogeal) sphincter, or maybe the pylorus. Well digested show either way, UM.
