P/90:

Good Morning Mr. Name
  12:05am
P/90:

Mr. Name, Mr. P/90. Love for Valentine's Day, got it.

Nick Name:

hi fleep - P/90 - morning all
Avatar 12:12am
Whooda:

Just had to pop over to say, "Groovy man!" and , "Pass the dope over this way man". Liking this hippie vibe DJ Nick Name. Howdy Fleep and P-90 party friends.

Wow fleep, you look like a porpoise man!
  12:15am
Nick Name:

hi Whooda, thanks for checking in
Avatar 12:16am
Droll:

Still evening here. Stan's show starts tomorrow morning. Both show bookend the Witching Hour, which seems appropriate.
  12:18am
P/90:

Hi whoo, he was using a different avatar for a while, now I figure "fleep" probs comes from "fleeper"', like "Flipper"' every hippie's fave 60's dolphin (not porpoise, careful)
You seem to be in an "up" mood -- still a little high from an hour of Hearty White? And how many feet of snow in the leather towns today?
Avatar 12:20am
Droll:

Whooda wrote an email so funny Ken could hardly read it during his impromptu fill-in State of the Station today.
  12:20am
P/90:

yo @Droll
Forgot: where's "here" for you, Mrs. Droll, ang the little Drollings?
  12:22am
P/90:

@OMG that was the funniest thing youve ever done, it was brilliant
Avatar 12:24am
Whooda:

I don't do the white wheat bread but just listened to three hours of Dave the Spazz and his show was a miracle of modern technology and preserved recordings.

Oh, I didn't get to hear Ken :( My wifi was cutting out then. Glad he got a good giggle :) Thanks for letting me know Droll.

Our little burg over reacted to the weather reports and even closed the library three hours early. No biggee though, by morning will have accumulated about 8 more inches of light snow from this storm.
  12:24am
P/90:

It was the one and only truly witty monent in that hour (which was an interesting hour, no doubt)
Avatar 12:24am
Droll:

Seattle, where we have an Orca fetish. Orcas eat little yummy flippers, but I think he's all the way down in southern Cali. P-90 is NJ/NY?
Avatar 12:26am
fleep:

Goddamn orcas.
Avatar 12:26am
Whooda:

@Droll I watched Blackfish this week, it's an Orca flick. Watched The Night of the Hunter today.
  12:27am
P/90:

...It was the non sequitur gag about Ken's vain obsession with his toned body, right?
He LOVED it, cracked up while reading it, you could practically hear the audience laughing
Avatar 12:27am
Droll:

Mmmmmm.... Cheesey fleepy.... fleep with fresh basil...
  12:27am
tom:

like the infants- little bit like the screamers
Avatar 12:31am
Whooda:

@P-90 I had tuned into the last few minutes of Ken's fill in gig and heard him talking about his "great abs."... Just couldn't resist....
  12:33am
P/90:

hi tom
@fleep & @Droll: home is manhattan, grew up here but have lived for many years on-and-off in Cali, went to HS in LA & also familiar w/the NorthWest. Q: have you guys ever read "Day of the Dolphin" by Arthur C. Clarke?

@Whoo: Night of th Hunter ROCKs, don't it? A bona fide work of art
Avatar 12:33am
Droll:

Where have you been hiding, Family Fodder? The drums sound wicked.
Avatar 12:34am
Whooda:

Station Manager Ken can make anyone laugh, just give him a microphone and a gallery of GIFs.
  12:35am
P/90:

yes! I'm all over this Dinosaur Sex craze
Avatar 12:37am
Whooda:

@P-90 someone on the comments board threw out a suggestion to watch NoTH and so I did. That was probably you. I really enjoyed it am going to wiki it to learn a little more of the details about the production and original reviews.
Avatar 12:37am
Droll:

I'd have to get up too early to hear Ken's show, I've only ever caught the end of it. Ken and Liz are DJs I never hear, but I listen to Stan for years and I doubt many on the East coast ever hear him. It all works out in the end.
  12:38am
tom:

the film of day of the dolphin was originally to have roman polanski directing
Avatar 12:39am
fleep:

Day of the Dolphin is by Robert Merle, you maybe are thinking of Dolphin Island ... the movie with George C. Scott was okay, the dolphins were overacting.
  12:44am
P/90:

yes of course I meant Dolphin Island.

NotH, directed by the brilliant English actor Charles Laughton, one of the most idiosyncratic films released by any major Hwood studio up to that point, freaked a lot of people out when it was released, one of Bob Mitchum's best roles
Avatar 12:50am
Droll:

. o O ( Yeah, I'm still into my 6/8 thing, too. )
  12:51am
P/90:

both authors Merle and Clarke (2001, Childhood's End, etc) were inspired by the dolphin-human communication work of John C. Lilly
in the late 50s, early 60s
I thought of Clarke's book when you guys went into your Orca/Flipper routine, because in that book, the researchers make a breakthrough and have some substantive communication with dolphins, and it turns out the dolphins want to talk to the humans about: the orcas
Avatar 1:00am
Droll:

What did the humans want to talk to the dolphins about? Balsamic vinaigrette reduction recipes? They're delicious with surf and turf, but I assure you boiling off a cup of vinegar is a smell that lingers for weeks. Delicious, but haven't made it since.
Avatar 1:07am
fleep:

Since Lilly's experiment resulted in the dolphin hitting on the female researcher, I'd say dolphin talk is mainly about sex and food.
  1:11am
P/90:

ever try that balsomic reduction with scallions? maybe with a little sesame oil & ginger for the full Asian thing, or maybe with verbena ("lemon grass") for a lighter herbal
kind of vibe?
ever sear tuna, not the usual way, but with olive oil and a little garlic, rosemary and parsley to give it a Mediterranean vibe?
  1:18am
