Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from January 17, 2014 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

I've shared the bill with Spencer a number of times in Cincinnati. I have to admit I didn't realize that he had gone on to become ...err... famous
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
DCE:

Yeh, he's pretty well-known for a "noise guy"

Turnip, Slayer of Burritos; we bow to you.
Avatar 2:14pm
Richard Nixon:

Cool! I'm in a noise band in Cincinnati called Neato Torpedo that dates back to about 1995. We were very prolific until about 2006-7 when suddenly all of the noise band shows turned into these things where there were a dozen or more acts who each got to play for 15 minutes. It was right around that time that we started trailing off with our shows but we shared the stage with Spencer Yeh quite a few times around then. Now we only play about once a year and only when we have the stage or airwaves for 45 minutes or more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm
DCE:

you guys should come up to CLE sometime...but all of our noise shows are typically 20 min sets or less
Avatar 2:19pm

nice, DCE. -- sendingout new product (under a different name) - care to drop me a line via the friendship society cult-messagey thingie & lemme know the station out there? I'll get them a copy...
Avatar 2:27pm
braveness23:

I appreciate the invite and I will take it into consideration. But I have to admit that it was precisely the advent of the < 20 minute set that killed the joy for me. The shows always seemed to be packed more with people who came to play and their equipment and girlfriends than actual audience members.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm
fred:

speaking of infants, great news (for me): Joke Lanz will be playing at my fave venue next month
Avatar 2:30pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

LANZ! Top bloke, that one. Excellent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm
fred:

He's supposed to play turntables, quite different from Sudden Infant, that's why he's not using that name for this show. I wonder what it will sound like, but I expect greatness
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm
DCE:

wow, I never knew such a thing existed as that messagey thingy! technology, I stand in awe.
Avatar 2:34pm

Did anybody go to this Morton Feldman piano perf. last month, in Red Hook? I wanted to go but just didn't feel like dealing with traffic and such to get there for a 25 min. piece....
